The first time I saw those, I got rather freaked out.
My shiney new Huginn now sits in Ammamake with your ac/mssiles/2 ext/2 web setup awaiting it's first kill!! I've waited a long time for this ship so can't wait to get out there and kick some ass!
Had to use 2 Aux Thrusters and 2xnano/1OD instead of the mass rigs and 3xOD2 cos i'm cheap!!! Still a bit slow at 3km/s though! but i will fly her like a stabber with 2 webs!! I assume it's win! - Michael Schumacher won many a formula one race. Watch out for the resident damp rapier in amamake (and no thats not me)
Hehe ya i've seen him out and about it's one of the BEES chaps i think! I'm too sharp for him though so i normally warp away soon as i see him on o-view!!
There was a Rapier and a bloody Lachesis (however you spell it) hanging around last weekend as well. Killer combination! - Michael Schumacher won many a formula one race. My huginn got 249 kills (including pods and crap like that ofc) before finaly popping so I beg to differ.
And all it took is simply clicking on the wrong planet to warpoff for losing it yesterday
If you plan on staying still and try to tank the damage then yes, you'll die a lot.
Nice mate...(not the loss ). AC's and t2 extenders, or Arties and damps? - Michael Schumacher won many a formula one race. Alot of the time he didn't win because he had a better car...he won because HE WAS A BETTER DRIVER and because he used SUPERIOR TACTICS. |

Do check facts.
Also, vagabond does very slightly less damage, this is because it fights way in it's falloff, and all of it's guns get less damage due to that.
Huginn has larger drone bay and missiles, so it's damage doesn't suffer from range as much.
If you want to fit corpum nos and falloff rig you can forget about 220 II's anyway, and dual 180 II's with falloff rig do about 10% more damage than 220 II's without in falloff range...
Vagabond does VERY slightly more damage, and for solo, huginn is in my opinion the much better ship. If you want to grief ratters in belts (that's what a vagabond can do better than huginn), then you might as well fly an nanocurse
Ryysa what would your solo tactics be using the ac/missiles/2med ext/2 web setup? Reason i ask is that Huginn fitting doesn't realy use falloff rigs so the limit on your range for the 180mm AC's with barrage is what like 15km maybe 13km (can't remember exactly) which puts it pretty close to the other ship.
would you orbit at say 11km just skirting outside web range (but within overheated web range) or hang back a little further letting the drones/missiles do the job until he is looking like going down then move in for the kill?
I'm just a bit weary of fighting so close to the other ship where i might get webbed myself...have no pvp exp with the ship yet but don't wanna go in like a **** and loose the bloody thing in it's 1st fight lol!!
Ya ya i know....use a curse for solo! or maybe the Artie/Damps setup is more viable for solo pvp? - Michael Schumacher won many a formula one race. Alot of the time he didn't win because he had a better car...he won because HE WAS A BETTER DRIVER and because he used SUPERIOR TACTICS. |

Anyway I believe my Free Hugs does more than that, I'll run the numbers in a bit.
Hi Ecky,
Interesting story...what setup did you have? I'm really keen on this ship so i'm eager to gather as much info as possible.
Thanks. - Michael Schumacher won many a formula one race. Alot of the time he didn't win because he had a better car...he won because HE WAS A BETTER DRIVER and because he used SUPERIOR TACTICS. |

Seems like a painfully obvious advise, but it is rather uncanny how often some people tend to forget it.
And more on topic, I'd say that the hug has a higher "warpthehellouttahereness" rating than the vaga does, due to its ability to effectively stop things that would normally prevent you from enacting glorious tactical retreat, while still having a half-decent speed of 2.5km/s or so with nonfaction fit and satisfying navigation skills.
edit: spelling
You need to have rather ****ty skill (Like lvl 1) to go 2.5km/s with a Vaga, even my Huginn goes 4.5km/s and my Vaga does 5.5km/s (Maybe a bit more, havent flown it for some time due to restrictions).
And my Huginn can run just like my Vaga when it gets jammed or damped. You need to know how to fit your ships before you say anything like that...
I think he was talking about his Huginn. - Michael Schumacher won many a formula one race. Alot of the time he didn't win because he had a better car...he won because HE WAS A BETTER DRIVER and because he used SUPERIOR TACTICS. |

Huginn in gangs is unrivaled, but imo solo its even better... most of the key points have been covered, but seriously chasing people and knowing that in most cases they're never going to be able to get back to the gate is awesome... and naturally because of the nature of 0.0 and most people aiming to fly a relitavely fast and mobile ship the targets are always aplenty when you're roaming around.
Huginn like most minnie ships just requires skills, once you have t2 nav skills, t2 drones, t2 AC and good missile skills its a really nice ship and plain fun to fly... theres just some ships even roaming around solo where you get real confident feel about being able to tackle anything you come up against or know that you can bail out if needed and Huginn is one of them, almost like flying a 'ceptor.
Plus its fun to kill or atleast chase off Vaga's ... especially ones that are over-confident... and seeing as everyone and their mum flies vagas theres quite a few about.
